Comment on Indian Scientific Social Responsibility policy

The government of India is consulting opinions on its draft Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) policy until 8 October 2019. SSR is defined as “confluence of scientific knowledge with visionary
leadership and social conscience.” While the country’s academic community is making good progress in science, the society as a whole does not adequately reap the benefits. The policy aims at strengthening the connections between science and society and improving collaborations and communication between the different stakeholders. Read more here.
