Nano4Society presents its plans

A KNAW-symposium at the University of Twente on 26 November 2019 featured the new national research programme Nano4Society. This 5-year programme has a targeted annual budget of over 150 million euro, including 55 million existing funding. It consists of four themes: Nano4Health, Nano4AgroFood&Water, Nano4Security and Nano4Sustainability. The sustainable development goals, nanosafety and opportunities for healthcare were targeted in the presentations and discussion. Read more hereand here.

On 4 September, I discussed how the Ethical Impact Assessment methodology could be adapted to different types of research with societal impacts, during the Symposium on Societal Impact of Research at the UMCG in Groningen.
